November Stamp Club Projects

Time to share our projects for this months stamp clubs. If you are in any of my clubs, this is what you have to look forward to. I will be sending supply list separately

Dasher Xmas Treat Box -

For this project I used the Fancy Favor Box die for the Big Shot and the Dasher stamp that was introduced last Christmas season. We will be using a wet paper stamping technique on this one.

Northern Hearts Xmas Card -

I used the new XL Petal Card Punch for the "heart" but cutting off two of the "petals", this comes out slightly larger than our Heart punch. Using the Cherry Cobbler Marker, I only colored in part of the image with the birds. The champagne chunky glitter just finishes this off perfectly.

Cute & Curly Happy Birthday Window Card -

This one I can't take all the credit for. I combined about 3 different ideas that I found from other blogs I visit.

Hope you enjoyed them!! Have a great day :)

Brady's Halloween Party!

Well, tomorrow is the big day for my little guy. He wanted another Halloween party this year. At current count, I have 20 kids coming over for an afternoon of fun. Just wanted to share some of my decorations...

I got this idea from here it was just too cute to pass up.

One of my club members had a similar frame for our monthly club night on Tuesday. Great idea Jeanne :)

This guy is a spider, but kinda hard to see in the picture

And, of course, no goodie bag is complete without pumpkin poop

Have a Happy Halloween

September Club

I can't believe it's September already and time for clubs to start back up. Here is what we will be creating this month in club -

Our first project comes from one of my favorite blogs that I visit. It's a cute little box that would be perfect for those snack size candy bars that are all over right now for Halloween. How adorable would these be to hand out to your child's classmates? Instructions for completing this box can be found here. I used Pear Pizzazz as the base for the box with the stamp set Fangtastic that is in the new Holiday Mini that starts today! I sponged the edges of the Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White with Basic Black and then went over them with the Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit.

The Halloween card features two new items from the Holiday Mini also; the Spider Web Impressions Folder and the Black Waffle Paper. I used Cajun Craze for the card base and again layered with Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White.

The final card uses the Sweet & Sour Specialty paper along with Cute by the Inch, which is a Level 2 Hostess Set.

Thanks for stopping by - Have a great day!

Wedding Card

I made this card for my cousins wedding yesterday -

Card base is brushed silver card stock with a layer of velum card stock. The cake is made with shimmery white cardstock, stamped with Elements of Style using Frost White Shimmer Paint. I cut rectangles and then rounded the corners using the corner rounder punch. The flowers are shimmer white & blushing bride cardstock. The sentiment is from Word Play stamped in Platinum Shimmer Paint. Everything was finished off using Organza Ribbon & the new Rhinestones from the catalog. Thanks for stopping by!!

May Club Projects

For once I am actually posting my monthly club projects!! Maybe I can keep up the pace :) I hope so. Any way, here is the first project for this month -

I used Melon Mambo as a base for a 5" square card and then layered a Rich Razzleberry Scallop Square cut with the big shot. The white layer is 3 3/4" square and then texturized with the SU Daisies plate. Razzleberry Lemonade make the folded frame and the center image is from the new Summer Mini - Watercolor Trio. I then added the bitty buttons for flowers and punched out the sentiment. A complete tutorial can be found here

Our second (& third) projects -

A complete tutorial for the tea light cake can be found here. Super easy and adorable!!

I used the Island Oasis DSP from the Summer Mini, little leaves sizzlit for the big shot along with the trio flower punch and the new itty bitty punches from the mini.

The box - I cut Rose Red to 8 1/2 X 6 1/2 and then scored the 8 1/2 side at 2-4-6-8, turned and scored the 6 1/2 side at 2-4-6. Here is what the box should look like after you cut the score lines and punch out a 1 3/8 circle for the window:

You can then just apply stickey strip to the tab on the right and on one or two of the bottom flaps and fold together. Any questions, please let me know!!

Teacher Appreciation Day

Tuesday was Teacher Appreciation Day, so I made this adorable basket that can be found here. I packed it with a reed diffuser, candle, bath salts and hand lotion. This was a very easy template to follow and it really has unlimited uses!

Birthday Present!!

I finally got my Cricut Expression for my birthday!! Hubby surprised me with it when I got home from North Carolina yesterday. I watched the video that came with it, but I know that doesn't even touch the surface of what this machine can do. I hope to make some vinyl wall art with it. If anyone knows of some good site with tips and ideas, please pass them along!!

I saw this layout at the Heirloom Rubber Stamp & Paper Crafts show in Allentown a few weeks ago and had to CASE it. I changed the flowers and color scheme. I purchased a shadow box frame and gave it to my mom when I visited her in North Carolina this weekend. Now, I just have to make one for myself.

April Scrapbook Club

April's Scrapbook Club projects -

Isn't this just a breath of fresh air? I used Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and YoYo Yellow on a Whisper White base for this layout. The daisies were cut using the Daisies #2 die for the Big Shot and sponged lightly with YoYo Yellow.
In honor of the Two-Step Stampin promotion, I used a Trendy Trees theme for this layout. The edges of the So Saffron were sponged with Sahara Sand for a Vintage look. The Sweet Pea designer series paper used the Trendy Tree images and ties everything together nicely. As always I kept this layout simple with plenty of room for extra embellishments and a title. The Whisper White strips make a nice place for some journaling.

Technique Class

Now that my wrist is mostly healed and I can stamp again :) It's time for Technique Class again. Here are the four techniques we will be working on tomorrow night!!

Baby Wipe Technique featuring Upsy Daisy. I used Rose Red & Certainly Celery Re-Inkers. The polka-dot paper is from the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper.

Rolling Marble Technique, Featuring Always. I used Crushed Curry with Dusty Durango Re-Inkers.

I'm not really sure what you would call this, since its really a cross between two techniques - So I went with Polished Stone, since it was closest to that. The difference with this was I stamped and embossed with white onto Glossy White Cardstock. Once that was dry I soaked a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and place one or two drops of re-inkers and the platinum ink from the Holiday Mini (that is still available for purchase), then dabbed the cotton ball over the embossed image. I then used my heat gun to dry the ink and the image appeared through the ink. The card I saw on another blog using a slightly different technique and I believe she used bordering blue instead of Not Quite Navy & Rich Razzleberry.

I am happy with the results - I think it turned out very elegant looking

Technique Club - Thursday March 25th

Good Morning, just a little update. I moved Technique Thursday to next Thursday, the 25th at 6:30. I have to go for surgery on my wrist this morning and I am sure I won't feel like stamping tonight :). Here is what is on schedule for next week -
Sponged Landscape - featuring Season of Friendship
Bleach Stamping - featuring Greenhouse Garden
Baby Wipe - featuring Petal Pizazz
Stamping on Candles - featuring Inspired by Nature

Depending on how I feel, I will try to post the samples this weekend. Have a great day and enjoy the beautiful weather!!

To Do List - Done!

I cased this from the current Stampin' Up Catalog, but made some changes. I used a large magnetic dry erase board, then took a roll of bulletin board and cut a 6" wide piece to fit across the center of the board and attached with magnets. The DSP is just sitting on the lower half of the board being held in place with the bulletin board - then it can be easily changed. The letters are from Loads of Letters chipboard and covered with Sweet Pea Designer Paper and I used "It's a Plan" to make my To Do lists. The words To Do were cut out using the Big Shot and Simple Serif alphabet set with Chocolate Chip Decor Element Sheets. Magnets were also attached to the back of the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt so I can add additional notes if necessary.

Thanks for Looking! I am working on a smaller version to turn into a class project - once I have that done I will post pictures along with instructions.

PPA 32 - Part 2

We made this card at my club meeting last night. Everyone loved the look and simplicity of it, so I thought it definitely fits the Spring Theme for this week.

Colors are Certainly Celery, Crushed Curry & Whisper White.
I used Fifth Avenue Floral with the making technique for the flowers and lightly outline the petals with a pink watercolor pencil and blended with a blender pen. Easter Wishes is from the Well Scripted set in the Occasions Mini.

Thanks for looking!!
